The best way to keep focussing on your training is to set goals. Chose a race or an event you are aiming for, or set yourself a target within your disciole e.g. to run a certain distance in a certain amount of time.
Make sure you are SMART:
Specific – target a specific area for improvement.
Measurable – quantify or at least suggest an indicator of progress.
Assignable – specify who will do it.
Realistic – state what results can realistically be achieved, given available resources.
Time-related – specify when the result(s) can be achieved.
